Steve Dean

Steve is a lifelong artist and comes from a fine arts background.  He is skilled and active in both fine art and digital art. Steve has years of applied knowledge in the real world of small business where he is his own concept artist, designer, marketer, web designer, photographer, and producer for a successful clothing design and production company that ships internationally. Steve has had paintings featured in Pulse Magazine Milwaukee, and has won numerous best in show awards for painting and multimedia.

George Graham

George Graham's degree in Mathematics, Geology and Secondary Education provided a broad foundation, including computer science. George took that initial exposure and expanded it by starting and developing a multi-city wide area network to provide Internet services across a large area of Nebraska.  As the Internet grew and the World Wide Web usage exploded, George began programming and providing website design and hosting services. George manages MMI's online presence and instructs students in HTML, CSS, PHP, as well as database and web server setup and maintenance.

Eric Larson

Eric has taught color theory and basic design at Atlanta’s Portfolio Center and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He has an online art company called Vector Art House and is currently busy with children’s books and government websites. Among Eric’s credits: Lead designer for Star Wars Special Edition and Episode 1 (Lucasfilm), Pepsi, Frito Lay, Pizza Hut, KFC, and Toys “R” Us. His ad agency work has included numerous clients, such as Black & Decker, Coke, Gillette, Nestea, Smirnoff, A&W, Beck’s Beer, Mennen, Swatch, Stouffer, USA Network, Hanes, McDonalds, Tyson Foods, Target, 3M, American Express, the Milwaukee Zoo, and several airlines (Delta, Pan Am, Lufthansa, USA).

Josh M. Lenius

Josh has been a freelance graphic designer and owner of WhiteRabbit Design for well over a decade, creating all manner of print and web media for a wide range of businesses, musicians, games, and more. Josh has also lived and taught in Japan for two years, and is an active nightclub DJ and avid video gamer.

Tim Mickleburgh

Tim taught at Wiltshire College in England for four years, where he was program leader of a two-year media-production course focusing on video and animation. At Rocket Research Company near Seattle, he specialized in high-speed video and cinematography as well as video production and studio photography. He began his career as a freelance commercial photographer and leader of photography workshops.  Currently, Tim is the Program Chair for the Digital Media and Design Program.

Josh Oas

Josh has been professionally involved in numerous aspects of Media production for over ten years. He has worked in the Audio / Video or Design fields as a Flash Developer / Designer, Animator, Web Designer, Videographer, Musician, and Editor. He has worked with such acts as Sevedust, Stone Sour, Godhead, Kittie, Tim Reynolds, Willy Porter and Monte Montgomery among others. He has won numerous Telly Awards and currently stays busy with a successful freelance career as a Flash Developer, and Animator.

Dan Oen

Dan has worked in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles in the design, imaging and print industries for almost twenty years. He has designed trucks for Peterbilt Motors, created Matchbox car toys, and imaged movie posters for Paramount, Sony, Miramax, Warner, Disney and others. Dan has created ads for Guild.com, Duluth Trading, Nestle, Papa Murphy’s and is currently on a long-term arrangement with Uniek inc designing graphics and products for Target, Kohl’s, ShopKo, Menards, Costco, Sam’s Club and Walmart. So far, he has received three design patents for vehicles he designed and is working on a few more designs that are in the process of patent application. In addition to designing and teaching Dane is a potter and displays his work at Fine Earth Gallery in Madison where he also teaches beginning and advanced students to play with mud.

David Ruthe

David does professional image touch-up and manipulation, as well as print and web design freelance work. He's done design work for the Red Cross, Stephan & Brady ad agency, and Madison Jewish Community Day school. He has created 3D assets and content for multiple unpublished computer games.  Currently, David is the Lead Instructor for the Digital Media and Design Program.

Kent Steine

Kent is a classically trained illustrator that has been drawing and painting for 35 years, and instructing for 25. He began his career producing advertising and editorial illustration for numerous corporate advertising campaigns, and cover artwork for over fifty magazines and periodicals. He has been a contracted artist for various publishers including; Stabur-TMP; Comic Images; Market Square Productions; and Avalanche Publishing. Steine has produced concept art and story development for film; comics; and animation, where he served as both supervising special effects and background artist. Kent has authored two best selling books, and has been a contributing writer for publications such as, Step-By-Step Graphics magazine, Illustration, and AirBrush Talk. He has served as consultant to The Society of Illustrators; The Illustration House, Inc.; The History Channel; and PBS’s, The History Detectives. Steine presents seminars on various subjects, from the history of American Illustration Art to painting with high definition makeup. Kent is a past Award of Excellence winner at The Communication Concepts Annual Illustration and Design Competition, in Washington D.C.. Steine has been recognized by the Salmagundi Club; and The Art Students League of New York. These days he focuses on painting pinup cartoons, glamorous celebrity portraits, and teaching.
