Media Systems Technology - Electronics Degrees

Electronic Applications

While completing their audio visual classes and training, students work with a variety of tools and hardware:

  • Digital multi-testers
  • Cable testers
  • Reflectometers
  • Cabling
  • Switches
  • Connector blocks, racks, and servers

Electronics degree courses give students expertise in the basics of media systems design, especially as it relates to sound and video systems. They learn to install low-voltage cabling and wireless networking systems; to connect components ranging from LCD projectors to audio components to networking infrastructure. Most importantly, students are trained in on-the-job safety.
