Media Systems Technology-Electronic Applications

Electronic Applications

Students work with a variety of tools and hardware:

  • Digital multi-testers
  • Cable testers
  • Reflectometers
  • Cabling
  • Switches
  • Connector blocks, racks, and servers

Students acquire the basics of media systems design, especially as it relates to sound and video systems. They learn to install low-voltage cabling and wireless networking systems; to connect components ranging from LCD projectors to audio components to networking infrastructure. Most importantly, students are trained in on-the-job safety.
