Transferring credits from other post-secondary institutions must be requested and approved before the student begins his or her first semester at Madison Media Institute. A Transfer of Credit Form must be obtained from Madison Media Institute and completed. The form must be submitted with an official copy of college or university transcripts and a copy of transfer course descriptions found in the institution’s course catalog or on the relevant course’s syllabus.
Requests for transfer credit will be evaluated and approved or denied based on the following criteria:
The course was taken at an accredited post-secondary institution.
The course was worth at least 3 semester credits.
A grade of B- or better was earned.
The course content matches the content of the course at Madison Media Institute.
The course was taken recently enough so that the information presented in the course and any technological components of the course are sufficiently current.
Approval of transfer of credit is at the discretion of Madison Media Institute officials as guided by aforementioned criteria. Madison Media Institute is not obligated to approve transfer of credit from any other post-secondary institution under any circumstances. If advance standing is granted, total tuition, as well as the maximum time for completion, will be adjusted accordingly.
