Video and Motion Graphics

Associate of Applied Science Degree - Video and Motion Graphics

61 Credits/60 Weeks

Objective:

At Madison Media Institute, you can transform your love of film into your dream career. Whether you're interested in 3D animation, television and film production, or the technical aspects of lighting and movement, our Video and Motion Graphics program equips with the skills you need to be successful in the areas you're passionate about.

Through hands-on course work in our Video and Motion Graphics program, students learn practical applications for their skills and are involved in realistic experiences that prove useful in real world situations. Students are prepared for work in both human and 3D film and video production.

To prepare for these jobs, students enrolled in the Video and Motion Graphics program learn to use industry-standard software applications such as Avid®, Final Cut Pro ®, DVD Studio Pro®, LightWave 3D®, Adobe PhotoShop®, Adobe Illustrator®, Adobe Flash®, Adobe Dreamweaver®, and Macintosh® and Windows® operating systems. For production work, students learn to use a variety of hardware, including light kits, digital video cameras, scanners, and color printers.

In addition to these skills, the Video and Motion Graphics program introduces students to non-technical aspects of the media business and breaking trends in the motion graphics and video industries.
